The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, building strong client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. Your expertise will be crucial in expanding Esker’s market presence and achieving our ambitious growth targets.

Key Tasks/Duties:

  • Expanding client base by selling Invoice to Cash automation solutions within the territory
  • Networking and asking for referrals, as well as doing lead qualification
  • Using a defined sales methodology to qualify the sales opportunity, uncover various stakeholders, alternatives, internal processes, and budget/ROI requirements
  • Cross-selling new solutions into existing accounts
  • Traveling to prospect meetings within the territory
  • Facilitating long-term contracts with new customers

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field OR equivalent experience

Essential Experience:

  • 5+ years of outside sales experience selling to enterprise accounts
  • Experience selling high-end software-based solutions including SaaS (Software as a Service)
  • Experience working with finance or executive level sponsors

Competencies:

  • The ability, experience, and discipline to allocate time to prospect for new sales and not rely solely on leads from Marketing
  • Clear understanding of financial business processes (e.g., account receivable, cash application, deductions management, invoicing, etc.)
  • Knowledge of document delivery and business automation tools
  • Strong telephone skills coupled with a professional approach to customer service
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of ERP solutions

This is a remote role that we prefer to be filled in the sales territory of the Pacific Northwest. Candidates near our Denver, CO or Madison, WI offices, as well as in the Pacific time zone will be considered.

Salary Range: $115,000-130,000 + Incentive
