Reports to: Project Manager

Please be advised that Six Mile - Nika JV and its subcontractors are rejecting the collective bargaining agreement between the predecessor contractor and Teamsters Local 959. Accordingly, employment with members of the Six Mile - Nika JV or its subcontractors under its contract for Base Operation Support Services at the United States Coast Guard Base in Kodiak will not be subject to the terms and conditions of employees' previous collective bargaining agreement with Choctaw Defense Services. Employment with members of the Six Mile-Nika JV or its subcontractors under the Base Operation Support Services Contract at the United States Coast Guard Base in Kodiak will be subject to new terms and conditions of employment, subject to certain requirements under Section 4(c) the Service Contract Act or as otherwise required by applicable law.

JOB OVERVIEW

Six Mile, LLC (SML) is seeking a Data Entry Clerk II to provide support to a base operations support services contract in Kodiak, AK! This position is tasked with entering data into appropriate files and software to keep records and make reports in order to recommend better business procedures for the company.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Work closely with certain department heads, other data entry workers and other clerical workers.
  • Compile and organize data by preparing source data and establishing priorities.
  • Operate data entry equipment and code information in order to help resolve problems.
  • Verify and balance data by making regular reviews of data for accuracy.
  • Pull and return data for user correction.
  • Sort, batch and archive files to complete data management.
  • Make recommendations to management for improvement of business strategies.
  • Check source documents for complete accuracy.
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies of company.
  • Maintain own office equipment and stationary supplies.
  • Transcribe information into required electronic format.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ABOUT YOU

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Formal computer training and or MAXIMO experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of correct grammar, punctuation and spelling.
  • Proven clerical and administrative knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
