Job Title: Expert GCP DevOps Engineer

Location: Boston, MA (Day 1 Onsite)

Type: Contract

Duration: Long Term

Mandatory / Required Skills

10+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE roles
4+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Expert-level proficiency in:
- GCP Services (Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, Monitoring)
- GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) / Kubernetes
- Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
Strong experience in:
- Cloud Networking: VPCs, Subnets, Firewalls, Load Balancers
- IAM Roles and Policies , Security Frameworks
- Monitoring/Logging Tools: Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring), Prometheus, Grafana
- CI/CD Pipelines , Scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
Proven ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot scalable and secure cloud infrastructure

Highly Desired / Preferred Skills

GCP Professional Certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Architect)
Experience with other IaC tools — Ansible, Pulumi, etc.
Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
Experience working in regulated or enterprise-scale environments (e.g., finance, healthcare)
Familiarity with compliance/audit processes.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable GCP infrastructure using Terraform
Manage and optimize GKE clusters and containerized applications
Implement IAM policies, roles, and enforce cloud security best practices
Design and manage network topology: VPCs, firewalls, routing, load balancing.
Establish and maintain monitoring and alerting systems (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana).
Collaborate with Development and QA teams for seamless CI/CD deployment.
Ensure compliance with organizational security and audit standards.
Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and production reliability issues.
