Position Overview:

Vital Wound Care is seeking a Healthcare Administrator to oversee and manage all administrative tasks related to patient scheduling, care coordination, data entry, billing, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical administration and demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Scheduling & Coordination:
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate care with providers.
• Ensure timely follow-ups and appointment reminders.
• Communicate with patients and caregivers regarding scheduling updates.
• Medical Administrative Tasks:
• Submit and track IVRs (Interactive Voice Response) Reporting for patient care.
• Accurately document and maintain patient records and care plans.
• Assist with insurance verifications and prior authorizations.
• Billing & Reimbursement:
• Submit claims for reimbursement and track billing submissions.
• Work with insurance companies and providers to ensure timely payments.
• Address claim denials and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Data Entry & Reporting:
• Enter and manage patient data in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Generate reports related to patient care, billing, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
• Administrative Support:
• Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence with healthcare partners.
• Assist with physician credentialing and licensing renewals.
• Provide general administrative support to clinical and leadership teams.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare administrative role (preferably in wound care, home health, or a similar field).
• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in EMR systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and billing software.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes.
