Overview

Joyful Noise Childcare is seeking a compassionate, nurturing, and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate has a genuine love for babies and a strong understanding of child development. This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of infants while working in a warm, supportive, faith-centered environment that values kindness, teamwork, and high-quality care.

Our infant teachers help create a safe, calm, and engaging environment where little ones can meet their developmental milestones, explore the world, and feel deeply loved and supported.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, loving care to infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Support and guide infants through developmental milestones such as tummy time, sensory play, early communication, and bonding
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom
  • Assist with diapering, feeding, bottles, nap routines, and daily caregiving tasks
  • Monitor, document, and communicate each child's progress, routines, and behaviors
  • Build positive relationships with families and provide daily updates
  • Follow all licensing regulations, center policies, and health/safety procedures
  • Adapt care for infants with special needs or developmental differences
  • Work collaboratively with your co-teacher and leadership team to create a positive, joyful environment

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in childcare, preschool, daycare, or similar settings; infant room experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices
  • Ability to create a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain after hire)
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with families and team members
  • Compassionate, patient, and confident in positive behavior management techniques
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, loving infant room
  • Prior nannying or babysitting experience with infants is advantageous
