Wiscasset Middle High School is seeking a  dynamic, fun, empathetic, and compassionate Science/Math teacher who genuinely loves working with middle school students to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and collaborative educator who can help develop a comprehensive middle school program that supports students through those transformative years between elementary and high school.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• State of Maine Certification
• A genuine enthusiasm for middle school education
• Proficiency teaching Maine Learning Results for middle level Science and Math
• Engaging and accountable classroom management skills

Preferred:

• Experience with Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices
• Background in interdisciplinary project-based learning

OUR COMMUNITY

Wiscasset Middle High School serves approximately 200 students in grades 6-12. Located in Maine's picturesque midcoast region, Wiscasset offers:

• A historic town center
• Working and recreational waterfront on the Sheepscot River

• Partnerships with several nonprofit educational institutions
