Position Title: Part – Time Payroll Clerk

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to manage payroll processing for our dedicated team of educators and staff. The Payroll Clerk will use PayCom as the primary platform for payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service to our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees. Maintain accurate records of employee time, attendance, and leave.
• Serve as point of contact for all payroll inquiries to include discrepancies, late submissions, time off accruals, reporting and calculation of overtime, and timecard approvals. 
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, salaries, overtime, taxes, withholdings and deductions.
• Address payroll discrepancies and resolve employee and management inquiries in a timely manner. 
• Support data entry tasks to include new hire setup in PayCom.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and other related reports.
• Reconcile benefit invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Generate reports for audits, board reviews, and management as needed.
• Assist Finance Director to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and tax laws.
• Assist Finance Director in the review of W-2s, 1095s, and other year-end documents.
• Provide training to staff on self-service payroll management tools.
• Assist with drop-off and pick-up process to ensure the safety, efficiency and smooth transition of students, while enforcing school policies and communicating effectively with parents and guardians. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: 

• Individual must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 
• Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role, preferably in a non-profit or school setting, with hands-on experience using payroll management software. Proficiency in PayCom payroll processing software preferred.
• Strong understanding of payroll and benefits regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service mindset.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk; hear and have good vision. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
