Description: We are seeking a Pediatrician to join our growing pediatric service. This position offers a great work-life balance with a week on/week off schedule. Responsibilities include coverage of a 7-bed inpatient pediatric unit. You will also provide emergency department consultations. Shared coverage of the newborn nursery with neonatology service is included. Education of medical students and family medicine residents is a key responsibility. There is no delivery attendance or NICU coverage required. The pediatric service is supported by pediatric-trained speech, occupational, and physical therapies. Pediatric-certified echocardiographers and lactation consultants are also available. Neonatology consultations are available in-house. Other pediatric sub-specialties are accessible from a nearby tertiary center. An exciting new hospital has opened, combining local hospitals into one state-of-the-art facility. We are experiencing continued growth of residency programs within the new hospital. Experienced practitioners and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
