We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Controls Manager to support large-scale data center construction projects in Richmond, VA . This role focuses on cost controls, contracts, budgeting, forecasting, and schedule cost management . The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring financial efficiency and project success by coordinating with various stakeholders and maintaining project cost integrity. Key Responsibilities: Cost Control & Budget Management - Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring financial alignment with project goals.
- Track and control costs, analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions when needed.
- Assist in forecasting and financial reporting to maintain cost accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with vendor, GC'S & subcontractors to obtain pricing and scope alignment.
- Review and validate cost estimates to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
Contracts & Vendor Coordination - Assist in contract management, ensuring compliance with project requirements and company policies.
- Coordinate with General Contractors (GCs), subcontractors, and suppliers to align costs with project milestones.
- Support contract negotiations and change order management.
Scheduling & Costing Oversight - Assist in developing project schedules, ensuring alignment with cost and budget constraints.
- Track project progress and report on financial implications of schedule deviations.
- Work with project teams to ensure cost-efficient resource allocation.
Reporting & Documentation - Maintain comprehensive documentation of project financials, contracts, and cost projections.
- Generate detailed reports on project costs, forecasting, and financial risks.
- Support senior project managers in providing transparent updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications: - 3-7 years of experience in cost control, budgeting, and estimation within data center or large-scale construction projects .
- Strong understanding of construction financials .
- Experience working with General Contractors (GCs), vendors, and procurement teams .
- Proficiency in cost management software, financial tracking tools, and project management platforms .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in Mission Critical construction financial management .
- Familiarity with contract negotiations and change order processes .
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project .
