Job Role: SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud Functional Architect
Job Location: Remote (Need to travel to client location at Michigan if asked)
Job Type: Contract

MUST HAVE: SAP certifications in S/4HANA or Public Cloud modules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of SAP business processes in the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.
• Own the end-to-end functional architecture including integration points between SAP modules and third-party applications (e.g., ARIBA, SuccessFactors, Concur, etc.).
• Provide strategic input on SAP Public Cloud capabilities, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Define configuration and customization strategies in alignment with standardized public cloud approaches.
• Oversee the functional design, documentation, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions.
• Collaborate closely with technical architects, BASIS, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Provide guidance to internal teams and system integrators on implementation best practices, Fit-to-Standard methodology, and cloud roadmap planning.
• Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and change management policies.
• Support training, knowledge transfer, and documentation for key users and project teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.10+ years of experience in SAP functional roles.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• Deep functional expertise in one or more SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PS, PP, or EWM).
• Proven track record in SAP implementation projects including at least one end-to-end S/4HANA Public Cloud deployment.
• Strong understanding of SAP Activate methodology, Fit-to-Standard approach, and cloud extensibility options (Key-User and Side-by-Side extensions).
• Experience with integration tools and technologies (SAP BTP, APIs, SAP CPI).
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP certifications in S/4HANA or Public Cloud modules.
• Experience with public sector or regulated industries is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks and DevOps concepts.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Fiori UX.
