Job Description
Ballers is seeking a driven and dependable Sous Chef to join our growing culinary team. As
Sous Chef, you will assist in leading kitchen operations, supporting the Executive Chef, and
ensuring that each dish is crafted with precision and consistency. The ideal candidate brings a
strong culinary background, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to delivering exceptional
dining experiences for our members and guests.
Your day-to-day will include:
● Overseeing daily kitchen operations and food preparation
● Assisting in menu development and executing recipes to standard
● Leading kitchen staff during service and ensuring smooth coordination
● Maintaining food quality, presentation, and cleanliness standards
● Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling waste
● Ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations
● Assisting in hiring, training, and mentoring kitchen team members
● Collaborating with the front-of-house team to ensure guest satisfaction
● Supporting event and catering services for sports functions and private gatherings
Skills & Qualifications
● 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership kitchen role
● Strong understanding of culinary techniques and kitchen operations
● Experience with inventory management and ordering
● Certified in Serve Safe and knowledge of food safety practices
● Ability to lead a team, stay organized, and thrive under pressure
● Excellent communication and time-management skills
● High attention to detail and a passion for delivering great food
● Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
