Position Overview
As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a key role in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs. You'll have the opportunity to create personalized learning experiences that help students thrive in an online environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in online teaching and be comfortable with using technology to support student success.

Key Responsibilities

Create and deliver tailored virtual instruction to meet the unique needs of each student
Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs in line with federal and state regulations
Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure students receive the necessary accommodations and modifications
Keep detailed records of student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Lead virtual meetings with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders
Offer guidance to parents and guardians on effective learning strategies for their children
Participate in professional development sessions and team meetings to enhance teaching practices

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
Valid teaching license in North Carolina with a Special Education endorsement
At least 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting
Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and educational technology
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in developing and implementing IEPs
Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with team members
