Schedule: 3rd Shift, Monday Friday | 11:00 PM 7:30 AM | No On-Call
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
OT Policy: Daily OT after 24 hours; Weekly OT after 40 hours (based on multiplier)
About The RoleTOPTAL CARE Inc is seeking a certified Sterile Processing Technician for a central sterile processing assignment in Elmhurst, Illinois. This overnight opportunity is perfect for detail-oriented technicians with demonstrated experience and a commitment to safety and infection control in a high-volume hospital setting.
ResponsibilitiesCollect, sort, and decontaminate used surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Operate decontamination and sterilization equipment safely and accurately.
Assemble and wrap instrument trays for surgeries and procedures.
Maintain meticulous records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage expiration dates for instrument stock.
Ensure proper functioning of all sterilization equipment and report issues promptly.
Comply with infection control and safety standards throughout the sterilization process.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a CERTIFIED Sterile Processing Technician.
Active certifications: BLS and CRCST or CSPDT.
High attention to detail and critical-thinking skills.
Manual dexterity and comfort working overnight shifts in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with infection control, hospital protocols, and regulatory requirements.
