NorthAmerican Concessions (NAC), located at Midway Airport in Chicago, IL, is looking for a Training and HR Compliance Manager to join our 162 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and engaged.
Summary: The Training and HR Compliance Manager is responsible for developing and implementing training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, coordinating training sessions, monitoring training effectiveness, maintaining training records, and building and maintaining company-wide professional relationships. The goal is to train new employees as well as ongoing, on-site training throughout the year. In addition, this person will work with the Operations Team to ensure compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible for developing all of the training programs, including, but not limited to; POS training, customer service training, compliance training, and continuous line employee and management training.
· Coordinates and facilitates in-person as well as virtual training sessions.
· Ensures all training programs align with federal, state, and local hospitality regulatory standards.
· Establish KPIs to evaluate training effectiveness, completion rates, and staff readiness.
· Use data to proactively identify gaps and recommend interventions to close them.
· Create follow-up training for compliance gaps, audit findings, or recurring performance issues.
· Adheres to and incorporates all quality, safety, and other company policies and regulations in the development and implementation of training procedures and programs.
· Assists HR management with the design and development of training materials and assessments.
· Develop and facilitate written performance assessments and key performance impacts to determine training efficiency.
· Enhance skills to include alternative adult learning methodologies, delivering one on one coaching and instruction, casual small group training and formal stand-up instruction.
· Communicates with HR and the management team to schedule, train, report and record retention.
· Attend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessions.
· Evaluates, investigates, and responds to Guest comments.
· Liaison with tenant in relation to employee matters, such as employee awards
· Maintain accurate employee training files, competency checklists, and recertification records.
· Must be available to work any and all shifts, and available during and after work hours for investigative inquiries via cell phone.
Qualifications
· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility listed in this job description satisfactorily.
· Must have the ability to go back and forth between the office building and the airport on a regular basis.
· Must be able to pass a federal background check in order to obtain a CDA badge.
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Degree in Business from an accredited college or university or a combination of knowledge, skills and management experience in the restaurant/concessions industry preferred.
· 2-4 years of training experience, preferably in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.
· 1-2 years of cash handling/register experience.
· Experience with Toast POS systems preferred.
Proficiency in speaking both English and Spanish prefered.

Benefits at NorthAmerican Concessions
Health Insurance, Dental Insurance and Vision Insurance are offered after employees pass their 90-day
probationary period, and if elected, it will begin on the first day of the
month following the passage of the probationary period.
PTO (Paid
Time Off): Employees will receive 80 hours of PTO after accruing a full
year of full-time service. Employees are permitted to begin using accrued
PTO time after they work a minimum of six (6) months. PTO will increase at
the five (5) year mark and at the ten (10) year mark.
Paid Sick Time : Employees
receive 40 hours of Paid Sick Time per year and they are permitted to start
using it after they pass their 90-day probationary period.
