Position Overview
As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a key role in creating and delivering tailored learning experiences for students with diverse needs. You will develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide virtual instruction designed to support each student's unique learning style and goals. We are looking for someone with a passion for teaching and a solid understanding of online learning tools and technology.

Key Responsibilities

Create and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the specific needs of students in a virtual setting.
Develop and manage IEPs, ensuring they meet both federal and state regulations.
Collaborate with general education teachers to make sure students receive the necessary accommodations and modifications.
Track student progress and maintain accurate records of their achievements and needs.
Lead virtual meetings with students' families, other teachers, and stakeholders to foster a supportive learning environment.
Offer guidance to parents and guardians on strategies to support student learning at home.
Actively participate in professional development opportunities and team discussions to continue growing as an educator.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement (Ohio).
At least 2 years of teaching experience in a school environment.
Comfortable using virtual learning platforms and educational technology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to connect with students and families.
Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
Ability to work independently while maintaining close collaboration with team members.
