Fleet management, guidance technologies, and machine health applications allow significant improvements in operations and maintenance organizations. The Training Manager is responsible for leading a global team of trainers and assessors in the comprehensive design, development, maintenance, and delivery of both online and instructor-led training programs across multiple Caterpillar product lines. This role is essential in ensuring that training content remains current, effective, and aligned with the latest product innovations and customer requirements. By providing high-quality training, the Training Manager helps improve the overall customer experience, enhances the acceptance and proper use of Caterpillar products, and reduces the negative impact of product-related issues. The position also plays a key role in building customer confidence, supporting product performance in the field, and fostering long-term loyalty through education and support. **What you will do:** Developing long-term training strategies including ongoing needs assessment, communication and feedback processes; promoting the value of training. Managing the training development and delivery team; collaborating with the training design team; managing external training vendors/contractors and platforms. Monitoring training and development trends and current training programs, and recommending necessary improvements; developing best practices documentation. Working with leaders / consultants to identify skill gaps through training needs analysis and overseeing training development, delivery, and evaluation, as required. **What skills you will have:** **Training Operations:** Knowledge of **training processes and procedures** ; ability to implement training related tasks and programs to ensure smooth daily and strategic training operations. - Manages the day-to-day operations of a training function. - Oversees the quality and suitability of training materials. - Evaluates productivity and cost effectiveness of training operations. - Controls the allocation of training budgets. - Coaches others on how to deliver training sessions effectively. - Advises others on the usage of new training methods and tools. **Technical Excellence:** Knowledge of **mining technology** and its applications, with the ability to translate complex concepts into effective training. A proven ability to solve significant technical challenges and deliver impactful learning solutions is essential. **Customer Focus:** Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. **Service Excellence:** Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner. **Consulting:** Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately. **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. **Problem Solving:** Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. **Relationship Management:** Strong leadership, collaborative mindset for working across global teams. Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. **Additional Information:** This position requires the candidate **to work full-time in the Tucson, AZ office.** Domestic relocation is available. This position may require up to 50 % travel. Sponsorship is not available. **Summary Pay Range:** $144,960.00 - $217,320.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
